In the leafy-wooded area around the Mine there are approximately 40 beautiful, old houses.
Today, several of the buildings house individual shops and craftsmen, who produce a wide range of quality products.

The Smithy still houses a Blacksmith, where you can watch the ‘Smith’ forge items in the old traditional way. You may even buy some of the wrought jewellery and ornaments.

Sala Silvermine has two Silversmiths, each with their own special style and methods for creating and producing beautiful jewellery and gifts.

The Honey Shop can be found in a little traditional wooden house. Here you find handicraft and gifts from Sala and Västmanland.

The Silvermine Antiques and Curiosities is one of Västmanlands biggest and most comprehensive antique stores, including everything from old bicycles to beautiful furniture. In the Antiquarian Bookshop visitors may sell and buy a wide range of old books.

In addition souvenirs and articles with a connection to Sala, Västmanland and Sweden are sold in Reception.
