Welcome to Sala Silvergruvas Bed & Breakfast Marketenteriet!
We have chosen to furnish the accommodation in a vintage style to give you that authentic feeling. Wake up, well-rested, in the midst of Sweden’s history. Marketenteriet was built in the early 1900s to function as a bachelor hotel. However, the plans fell through. It wasn’t until 100 years later that the accommodation we have today was established.
Practical Information
We hope you will have a pleasant stay in our beautiful Marketenteriet.
We would like to bring a few points to your attention to ensure you have an enjoyable stay with us.
- Breakfast at Konstmästargården is included in your booking and is served between 08:00 and 09:00.
- Please note that the door to your room is self-closing and locks automatically. Remember to take your key with you when you leave the room to avoid getting locked out.
- Showers and toilets are available on all three floors of the house. There is 1 shower/WC on the ground floor, 2 showers and 4 toilets on the second floor, and 4 showers/WC in the basement.
- In the kitchenette on the ground floor and in the kitchen upstairs, you will find a microwave, kettle, coffee maker, and dishwasher.
- There is no staff on-site in the buildning, but if you have any questions or issues, feel free to contact us.

For Dog Owners
At Marketenteriet, there are few rooms where pets are allowed. These are located on the ground floor and can be accessed via the rear entrance.
However, animals are not allowed upstairs
Dogs are welcome in the above-ground area as well as in the restaurant, Konstmästargården, but are not permitted in the exhibitions or down in the mine.
