An hour’s car ride from central Stockholm, 30 minutes from Västerås and only a couple of miles from Dalarna, in northern Västmanland, you’ll find Sala and Sala Silvermine. For those of you that travel via public transport, there are several good connections to the mine. Search via sj.se, ul.se or vl.se to find the route best suited for you.

Sala Silvermine provides experiences all year round and there’s more than just guided tours for you to experience. There are also tons to see above ground. The area around the mine is big so we recommend that you take a look at the area map before your visit so that you can plan your visit and ensure that you have time for everything you would like to do. And you do know that it is free to visit the area around the mine right? To experience a tour of the mine, however, you need to purchase a ticket.
